RTC module contain only one kempston joystick interface, but you can solder joystick connector in horisontal or vertical position (or both, but only one joystick can be connect).
- Horisontal connector is designed specially for AMIGA JOY(up to 3 fire buttons) / SEGA JOYPAD(work as joystick with two fire buttons) or real AMIGA MOUSE / C64 MOUSE (mouse is usable with software for A-MOUSE : http://velesoft.speccy.cz/othermouse-cz.htm ).
- vertical connector is designed specially for JOYPAD from SEGA MASTER SYSTEM/MEGADRIVE/GENESIS up to 8 fire buttons. Is possible also connect AMIGA JOY(only one fire button). This connector is ideal for SEGA joypad if you need use more than two fire buttons.
Yes, I use this 6 button sega controller as on your picture. On Ebay is price very low (about 2-3 USD / piece).
RTC module on this my photos is first version without JOYPAD support, but now I will order next boards with JOYPAD support and possibility switch one of 4 possible DIVIDE systems (eeprom upgrade)
In my case, I would have enough with the horizontal connector for the Sega Joypad as on my picture, because I don't need more than two fire buttons for most of the games. Please, keep us informed when you are going to launch the definitive shield board for DivIDE. The problem is that I am not sure if my DivIDE board it'll be compatible with the RTC module...
This is the one I have:
One more question, What is the battery connector for?
Saludos!
