As it was published in MicroHobby I'm assuming this is for the standard machine. If you're using the standard display then 85 columns means three pixel wide characters with no spaces (and is pretty unreadable). For 64 column text there's some code I wrote that others adapted that is fast and compact: http://www.worldofspectrum.org/infoseek ... id=0027130

If you want to edit BASIC in anything higher than 32-columns on an emulator then you'll need SE Basic IV: http://cheveron.github.com/sebasic4/

Hi! Well, I want are use only 64 columns, not 85 ... I have another source code (too from MH magazine) with 42 columns...

I have downloaded your TZX from WOS... Your code and set of characters are very small... and you add FOUR sets.

About SE Basic IV... I read doc from GitHub... hmmm... works on iZX emulator?

EDIT: My tests on iZX fails, maybe due to this emulator. Other roms too fails, only work 48,128,pentagon and scorpion...

One of these days I'll replace my 42-column code with a fully realized 40 column mode that supports INPUT and BASIC editing.

Only the original code and set was by me, and some of that was borrowed.

80 column mode requires a Spectrum SE emualtor, and to date only FUSE and EightyOne have that option. You can use ROM1 on its own in place of the normal 48.rom (which gives you everything except 80 column mode), but it won't work with the 128 editor ROM.

A pesar del tiempo transcurrido, respondo por si alguien más lo necesita: Ese programa está en Proyecto BASIC ZX, tal como Neil Parsons anunció en su día en este foro.

De todas formas hay implementaciones de 64 columnas más versátiles y potentes que esa escrita por Ariel Atilio, algunas de ellas aparecidas también en Microhobby y disponibles igualmente en Proyecto BASIC ZX o en K y Enter; otras disponibles en World of Spectrum.m

Habia un entorno de trabajo, que publicó MH en una de sus cintas que creo recordar que iba a 64 columnas. El procesador de texto Tasword +2 también iba a 64 columnas o a 80.

Creo que en todospectrum también se publicó una extensión de basic con opción de 64 columnas.

El CM está "incrustado" en el listado basic, y es bastante cómoda de usar (desde basic). (Edito: además rueda bien en los modelos +2A/+3, lo que es todo un detalle)
