How much it will cost.?

That would depend entirely on the number of pre-orders. The trouble with any hobbyist clone project is that short production runs are expensive. It will never be possible to compete with the price of a Raspberry Pi, which is why I think it makes sense to target the market that wants a DIY computer, like the original ZX81. For now you can get most of the Chloe functionality by running Fuse on a Pi. All that's missing is ULAplus support.

My main concern is that I think I'm completely unable to do proper welding. I'm sure I would burn the PCB on my first try.

It seems easy (except a smd there), I'm going to try, and so at least my +3 serve for something (at least the housing)---Sorry..google translator

Parece facil (excepto un componente que hay smd), yo lo voy a intentar, y así al menos mi +3 servirá para algo (al menos la carcasa)

Then I would stick with the Pi. I am hoping to hack Fuse 1.1 when it comes out to add the old ULAplus patch and provide a full Chloe emulation under RISCOS. Although there's probably someone out there who would be willing to assemble a Chloe for you, once the parts are available. I should stress, I don't expect the ULAplus board to be finished before 2014. And then I need to find someone to work with on making it happen as I'm the concept guy, not the hardware guy.
